Sakura Jackson

I had no idea!! My wife and I had no clue we had a fusion style restaurant in Jackson area!! We've been driving to Ann Arbor for our Pad Thai fix for years! We visited Sakura in early August, 2024. Small restaurant but love the open kitchen where they cook, and it was comfortable. Our server was excellent. She was polite, accommodating, and helpful. She had good suggestions but wasn't pushy. We both had chicken Pad Thai and we both loved it. I like mine spicy but they don't have varying spice levels which I suppose makes it easier to serve a wider audience without having to clean the griddle surface due to spices. They did provide some hot chili oil for me though. I also like my sprouts mixed in and warm to soften them up a bit, and they did that for me. The food was excellent, and you get a lot of it. The noodles were cooked perfect and weren't overdone to the point where they were mushy. The prices are really reasonable. 28 for two orders that will actually be four total meals due to how large the portions are. Overall, excellent first visit. Very excited to know about a place in Jackson to get Pad Thai!! Give them a try!

Ordered by delivery service and I must say the food is great! Not nearly as expensive as the other longstanding Japanese restaurant in town. I will absolutely be a repeat customer!

A hidden gem in Jackson! We recently moved to the area and have had a difficult time finding Asian food options we liked. We're thrilled to have discovered Sakura! The food is great great; we have tried the filet salmon & chicken hibachi, ginger chicken rice, eel roll, vegetable roll, sweet potato roll, edamame, and Sakura platter (chicken gyoza, crab rangoon & vegetable spring rolls). We always have the same waitress who is efficient & kind. The kitchen staff has also been super friendly, often greeting us on the way in or out. EDIT: On our most recent order, I was missing one of two sushi rolls and one of two protein choices on the hibachi. By the time I got home and called about the missing items, the wonderful girl on the phone said she already had it written down as she realized it was missing after we left, and it would be free for our next visit! We've since tried AKA in town as well and can confidently say that the sushi at Sakura has been better quality overall.

Sakura is one of our absolute favorite places to eat! My family loves coming here. The food is always fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The portions are generous, and every dish we’ve tried has been amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for family meals or special occasions. If you’re looking for great Japanese food with big portions and excellent service, Sakura is the place to go! Highly recommend!

What's in the bag: Yum Yum Roll, Northwest Roll, Gyoza, Fried Rice. Good rolls. Clean kitchen. If they don't answer the phone, call again. It's a small crew. She's probably gathering another togo order. Rolls were still great after a 30 minute ride home. Cheers.

This restaurant features Sushi, Thai food and Hibachi. Their Curry is to die for! Bento boxes are a favorite and hard to get away from. The sushi is top quality and I recommend the Super Volcano Roll or the Northwest roll, although I don't think you could order anything on the menu that isn't fantastic. The space is small and you may sit very close to other people. Great place for lunch or dinner. Proces are decent.

This is some seriously good hibachi. The portion sizes are large and the food is full of flavor. I had the chicken hibachi today and for the price and portion size I will definitely be back. The chicken was cooked perfectly, a nice sear on the chicken but still juicy and flavorful. Plenty of rice and veggies as well as a side salad. I've had their Pad Thai in the past and they also were delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants hibachi at a fair price.
